A blue cat travels the purple mountains, listening for the sound of a can opener.
 
I used a combination of block printing, fabric collage, and embroidery to create these one-of-a-kind pieces.  Fabrics are a combination of vintage, hand dyed, screen printed, and commercial fabrics from various sources.  Some include felt embellishments or other decorative additions. 
 
This one measures 5" by 5" and is finished with a blue printed binding, like a tiny little quilt.  It uses some vintage fabric from a yukata, a really nice purple batik, and includes a hanging strip stitched to the back.
